"A new U.S. report said following the collapse of Afghanistan, the Taliban acquired a national database of biometric information.

The report from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction said that the Taliban are using it to track down people who helped the U.S.

On this week’s edition of 'The Hunt with WTOP national security correspondent J.J. Green', Hans-Jakob Schindler, senior director of the Counter Extremism Project, said some of those captured have been killed."

"The think tank Counter Extremism Project (CEP) notes that the TTP has links with the Afghan Taliban and terrorist group Al Qaeda.

'As an ally of the Afghan Taliban, the TTP also fought the US-backed Afghan government prior to the latter’s defeat in August 2021. The TTP was founded in late 2007 by a group of Pakistani militants who had previously fought in Afghanistan alongside both the Taliban and al-Qaeda, and the group has maintained close ties to both organizations since,' says CEP about the TTP."

On January 23, 2019, two car bombs exploded outside of a mosque in Benghazi, Libya, killing 41 people and injuring 80 others. No group claimed responsibility for the blast, but remnants suggested an ISIS affiliate was responsible.
