On October 31, 2023, Counter Extremism Project (CEP) CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace appeared on CBC News for a segment on “Qatar’s complicated role in the Israel-Hamas war”.

"The way the Qataris pulled this off is by whitewashing their role in supporting Islamic extremism, by supporting businesses and investing vast sums of hydrocarbon wealth across places in London, in the United States, and elsewhere.

"...The perpetrators of these acts are hiding in plain sight, not even hiding, posted in plain sight in luxury."

Fact:

On January 23, 2019, two car bombs exploded outside of a mosque in Benghazi, Libya, killing 41 people and injuring 80 others. No group claimed responsibility for the blast, but remnants suggested an ISIS affiliate was responsible.
