Hezbollah’s Influence in Lebanon

(New York, NY) – Despite U.N. resolutions and international agreements demanding its disarmament, the Iranian-sponsored terror group Hezbollah has steadily grown as a military and political force in Lebanon, to the detriment of regional and international security. Hezbollah will attempt to increase its political power in the country through parliamentary elections that take place on May 6.

In the report, Hezbollah’s Influence in Lebanon, the Counter Extremism Project (CEP) details the history of Hezbollah’s development from a small Iran-funded guerrilla group into an organization that has permeated many sectors of Lebanese society and subverted Lebanon’s sovereignty.
