CEP Profiles Extremism and Counter-Extremism in 59 Countries on Updated World Map

(New York, NY) – South American countries with Hezbollah-related activity and an African nation targeted by Boko Haram for expansion are the newest profiles of extremism and counter-extremism efforts around the world released by the Counter Extremism Project (CEP).

New country reports include those on Chile, Peru, and Senegal, bringing to 59 the number of countries profiled on CEP’s interactive map. Each report includes descriptions of extremist and terrorist group incidents, radicalization and foreign fighters, and counter-extremism initiatives.

These new country resources, which complement CEP’s Terrorists and Extremists Database and reports on Extremist Groups, are part of CEP’s campaign to inform and raise awareness of the complex and urgent global challenge of combating extremism.
