Mr. Macori joined the Counter Extremism Project’s Berlin office as a research fellow in 2019. His research focuses on right-wing and Islamist extremism/terrorism. Moreover, he is extensively involved in project, office and (online-)event management activities.

His previous positions were at the Institute for Security and Safety (ISS) at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, with an international corporate security consultancy firm, and in the risk management department of the Allianz insurance group.

Mr. Macori has been a lecturer at the NATO Centre of Excellence – Defence Against Terrorism in Ankara/Turkey, and in an advanced training course in Kyiv/Ukraine funded by the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Program.

He studied International Relations at the University of Trier in Germany with a focus on extremism/terrorism research and the nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
