In response to ongoing Hezbollah attacks, on June 11, 2024, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a rocket attack on a Hezbollah command-and-control center in Jouaiyya in southern Lebanon. The airstrike killed Taleb Sami Abdullah, a veteran field commander, as well as three other Hezbollah operatives.
