CEP launched CEP Europe in June 2015 to unite individuals and groups across Europe to combat extremism. CEP Europe’s operations in the United Kingdom expands CEP’s mission of exposing the threat of extremism and countering extremist ideologies to a country that has directly suffered from extremist violence and homegrown radicalization. CEP Europe’s activities in the United Kingdom draws on the expertise of former government officials, academics, and grassroots activists. CEP Europe’s work in the U.K., in coordination with other CEP Europe offices, builds upon CEP’s overall efforts to expose extremist financing; rally support for programs to counter the narrative of extremists; and advocate for smart laws, policies, and regulations that promote freedom, security, and tolerance.
